Two golden coaches will be used by the King and Queen Consort for King Charles III’s coronation on 6 May.
The royal couple will travel to Westminster Abbey in the newer Diamond Jubilee State Coach and later return to Buckingham Palace in the Gold State Coach, which has been used in every coronation since the 1830s.
The newer coach should be a more comfortable ride, with air-con and modern suspension.
The route of the coronation procession has also been revealed.
