Levine was asked about Shelton’s exit by “Entertainment Tonight” outside of the Vanity Fair Oscars Party Sunday. “It’s about time!,” Levine joked. Shelton is the last of the original coaches on the singing competition show. The country superstar announced last year that Season 23 would be his swan song. “I’ve been wrestling with this for a while and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from ‘The Voice,’” Shelton said at the time in a statement via the network. “This show has changed my life in every way for the better and it will always feel like home to me.” Levine left at the conclusion of Season 16 in 2019. CNN  —  Facebook-parent Meta plans to lay off another 10,000 workers, marking the second round of significant job cuts announced by the tech giant in four months. The latest layoffs, announced on Tuesday, come after Meta said in November that it was eliminating approximately 13% of its workforce, or 11,000 jobs, in the single largest round of cuts in the company’s history. In a Facebook post Tuesday, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the job cuts will take place “over the next couple of months.” “We expect to announce restructurings and layoffs in our tech groups in late April, and then our business groups in late May,” he wrote. CNN  —  Hundreds of flights were canceled in the United States Tuesday and 1,700 more delayed as a winter storm bringing heavy snow, winds and coastal flooding moved into the Northeast. As of 11:30 a.m. ET, more than 800 flights within, into or out of the US had been canceled, according to flight tracking site FlightAware. About 1,700 flights were delayed. There were more than 260 cancellations at Boston Logan International Airport and about 220 at New York’s LaGuardia. Newark Liberty International Airport had about 120 cancellations as of 11:30 a.m. Boston Logan advised travelers to check with their airlines on flight status before coming to the airport. Some lived through World War II as children, only to see their lives disrupted again in 2014 when Russia annexed Crimea and the conflict in eastern Ukraine began.
