A Premier League footballer facing two rape allegations has been interviewed by police about a further alleged sexual offence involving a third woman.The player was interviewed under caution last month over an alleged incident in February 2022, police said.The Metropolitan Police said that alleged offence had been reported to them in July 2022.The 29-year-old was already on police bail as officers investigated two separate rape claims made against him. He was first arrested on suspicion of rape and taken into custody in July 2022.That related to an alleged incident said to have taken place the previous month.While in custody he was further arrested on suspicion of two alleged rapes relating to April and June of 2021 and against a different woman in her 20s.The alleged June 2021 offence was later dropped, though police said "the complainant continues to be supported by officers".The latest claim involves a third alleged victim.The man…

CNN  —  UEFA, European soccer’s governing body, has opened an investigation into alleged improper payments made by FC Barcelona to José María Enríquez Negreira, a former leading refereeing official in Spain. Earlier this month, the Catalan club was charged by the Barcelona provincial prosecutor’s office with “continued corruption between individuals in the sports field,” in addition to other charges in relation to an alleged payment scandal which has rocked Spanish soccer. “UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspectors have today been appointed to conduct an investigation regarding a potential violation of UEFA’s legal framework by FC Barcelona in connection with the so-called ‘Caso Negreira,’” UEFA said in a statement. CNN has reached out to FC Barcelona for comment on the opening of the UEFA investigation. CNN  —  People who are vaccinated or who take Paxlovid during a Covid-19 infection have a lower risk of developing long Covid, new research shows. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention defines long Covid as new, returning or ongoing health issues more than four weeks after an initial infection.According to the CDC, 1 in 5 Covid-19 survivors ages 18 to 64 and 1 in 4 survivors 65 or older have an ongoing health issue that might be attributable to Covid-19 infection. A study published Thursday in JAMA Internal Medicine analyzed data from 41 studies, including more 860,000 people around the world. London CNN  —  Bollywood fans have been left without access to hundreds of their favorite tunes on Spotify because of a licensing dispute. Spotify said it had removed the entire catalog of Zee Music — India’s second-biggest domestic music label with 93.7 million subscribers on YouTube — on March 14 after the companies were “unable to reach a licensing agreement.” A Spotify (SPOT) spokesperson told CNN that the company had tried to find “creative ways to strike a deal with Zee Music,” and would continue to negotiate in good faith in the hope of finding “a mutually agreeable solution soon.” Zee Music buys the rights to more than half of all newly-released Bollywood music, according to its LinkedIn page. CNN  —  Hungary says it would not arrest Russian president Vladimir Putin if he entered the country, despite the International Criminal Court (ICC) issuing an arrest warrant for him last week, accusing him of illegally deporting hundreds of children from Ukraine. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s chief of staff, Gergely Gulyas, said on Thursday that even though Hungary is a signatory to the Rome Statute, the treaty that created the ICC, and ratified it in 2001, arresting Putin would have no basis in Hungarian law. “We can refer to the Hungarian law and based on that we cannot arrest the Russian President … as the ICC’s statute has not been promulgated in Hungary,” Gulyas said.
